Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down 24-year-old Jamie Soth, who is believed to have played a role in a shooting that took place last month and left another San Jose man dead.

The shooting is believed to be gang-related, according to police, and Soth should be considered armed and dangerous. Police have not said if Soth was the shooter.

The Mercury News reports that Jeffery Melanio, 20, was hanging out with friends at a pizza parlor on Lundy Avenue and Berryessa Road when an altercation occurred between his group and another group of people, which police say included Soth. Meliano was shot during the altercation and died at a hospital four hours later.

Anyone who sees Soth should call 911 or contact police at 408.277.5283.
