Chowing down at the mall food court should take on a more refined angle this fall at Westfield Valley Fair, which announced the roster of 18 restaurants that will occupy its new Dining Terrace. The new area is planned to open Nov. 1.

With the addition of the terrace, Valley Fair is significantly renovating its food court area into a 23,000 square foot indoor/outdoor space with such amenities as lounge seating and fire pits.

The restaurant lineup is a mix of existing tenants and eateries new to Valley Fair. The 10 newcomers are: San Francisco franchise Super Duper Burger, Café Central, which serves Blue Bottle Coffee, Old Port Lobster, Pizza Vino, burrito chain Chipotle, vegan restaurant Loving Hut, Tava Indian Kitchen, Saji Mediterranean, Sarku Japan Teppanyaki restaurant and its sushi-centric counterpart, Sarku Sushi Bar.

Jamba Juice, Boudin Bakery & Café, Häagen Dazs and Panda Express are among the existing restaurants that will get a new spot in the Dining Terrace area.

The revamped dining area is intended to complement Westfield Valley Fair’s Luxury Collection, which includes the recent addition of high-end stores such as Prada and Cartier.
