It was a violent weekend in San Jose, marred by three homicides. On Friday night, a 28-year-old woman was shot on Morris Court. She was pronounced dead by the police upon their arrival at the scene. Gannon Crediford was arrested Sunday evening in connection with the murder, but so far, no information has been released about a possible motive. The victim’s identity has not been released either, since police are still in the process of notifying her next of kin.

On Saturday night, three people were shot in a parking lot outside an apartment complex on San Antonio Court. Two male victims, ages 26 and 27, were pronounced dead at the scene, and a third victim, a 19-year-old female, was taken to hospital but later released. Police say that the shooting occurred in the wake of a verbal altercation between two groups of people, and are investigating the possibility that the fight was gang-related. No arrests have been made following the shootings.

On Sunday morning, police shot and killed a 42-year-old man described as “armed and confrontational” in South San Jose. The man was armed with a knife and had a nail gun beside him.

Police Spokesman Ronnie Lopez said that police broke into his apartment after receiving a report from his estranged wife that he had shot himself with a nail gun. They attempted unsuccessfully to communicate with him for 30 to 45 minutes before breaking in to his apartment.
