The 90s nostalgia wagon has been rolling for a good while now. (When did “I Love the 90s” come out on VH1? 1998?) In another acknowledgment of its current speed The Mountain Winery’s summer concert series includes a good handful of 90s throwback acts in addition to its usual collection of classic rock ‘n’ rollers.

From the 90s camp, this summer will see the Goo Goo Dolls, Jewel, Boyz II Men, Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth and Uncle Kracker all play The Winery, those last three all in the same night.

The Winery also continues it’s tradition of bringing some of the biggest classic rock concerts to the South Bay. This year’s list reads like a who’s who of influential bands and musicians of the last century. Don McLean, the Beach Boys, BB King, Earth, Wind and Fire, Peter Frampton and Elvis Costello all have dates set for this summer, in addition to some other old favorites like Steely Dan, Merle Haggard, Pat Benatar, ZZ Top and Kool and the Gang.

While the lineup focuses on older groups, a couple contemporary artists make the list as well. Andrew Bird, an indie rocker with a violin and loop pedal predilection, plays the same month as folk rocker Amos Lee. Bigger name contemporary musicians like Colbie Callet and Ben Harper are slated to play as well.
