Dear Mr. Kalra.
My name is William T. Wilson, I retired from VTA after more then thirty years with both Bus and Rail experience. I received a letter from Ms.Cheryl de Gier,Human Resources/Benefits Consultant. The letter starts with the following phrase “As you may know”. The letter goes on to explain my medical benefits will be changed in January of 2015. No, I do not know. My question is why was I not informed by VTA or the VTA Board prior to the VTA Board vote. Was there any effort to inform or contact retirees affect by the changes? Was anyone affect by this change given an opportunity to provide input?
Thank You,
William T. Wilson

I cannot believe the 2,900 apartments and additional homes that are being constructed on Cottle Road near highway 85 in District 2. I live in the district and am astounded that this huge housing development was allowed to be developed. There is also a project, not yet approved, for 700 more housing units in the same area. We have been under served by retail for years, and now will be further crowded by about 6,000 people. How will they get to work? The Cottle Road on ramp to 85 has been complained about for years. What was the City Council thinking when they approved these projects? How can the area POSSIBLY accommodate so many new people? WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING?????
