Apparently, airline travelers at Mineta San Jose International Airport weren’t getting ripped off just in baggage fees.

Micheline Johnson, a 49-year-old woman who worked for American Airlines at the airport, was named in a 66-count felony complaint by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, which says she stole credit card information to pile up a half-million dollar tab in gift cards and purchases at Safeway.

Even more amazing is that the thievery was only discovered because one of her former cohorts ratted her out to authorities.

According to sfgate.com, Johnson “made at least 2,800 transactions at Safeway stores using 350 credit card numbers.” If she wasn’t buying food—and who really can eat through half a million dollars in three years?—Johnson was purchasing gift cards to buy stuff from electronic stores. Sometimes she sold these items on eBay.

How Johnson stole the credit card information remains a mystery, as no skimming devices were found at her home. She is being held on $1 million bail.
