E. Carlson, 1998

The memorial cornerstone of old City Hall faces the new kid on the block. The City Hall building was constructed in 1887, and demolished in 1958. Seventy-one years. In another seventy-one years TheTech is likely to be gone, with the exception of a mango cornerstone in the parking lot of a Taco Bell or Frys Electronics. Quetzalcoatl, who is eternal, will have the last laugh.

If you can remember old City Hall, you are perilously close to becoming an old codger.
