O to be a child anticipating a swim in the Motel pool. Little knowing of the concertina-wire gauntlet lying in the shadows . . . down the road a year or two or thirty. One broken heart away from the Last Chance Saloon.

You could stay here for a week for the same price it would cost you to spend one night at the gaudy Fairmont - and it has more ambience, including this diving dame. Look for similar diving dame on the De Anza Hotel.

Very pleasant Indian accent on phone.

Sad update: Jan 2001. The Park View Motel has been bulldozed into rubble. The diving dame is no more - one less classic sign destroyed to make way for an ugly generic replacement.
