Description

PARTICLE

Particle is an American jam band formed in Los Angeles in 2000. The original members were Dave Simmons (guitar), Steve Molitz (keyboard), Eric Gould (bass), and Darren Pujalet (drums). Simmons died shortly after the formation of the band due to a sudden illness. Guitarist Charlie Hitchcock joined shortly thereafter. Along with The Disco Biscuits and Sound Tribe Sector 9, the group was among the first to blend rock, jazz, funk, and electronica into the milieu of what has been dubbed livetronica (a subgenre of the jam band movement where live bands blend the structures of DJ-produced sequenced electronic music into a more traditional live band setting). Prior to 2006, the band's repertoire consisted entirely of instrumental material.

UN-SPUN

A San Francisco based, "All Star" Acid Jazz band featuring:..

Specializing in Grooves so sweet they'll leave you looking for a glass of something to wash them down. Deep jam sections that utilizing the powers of ESP as the primary source of communication are the norm when this special group of musicians come together to put on a show! So much chemistry your beakers will shatter to the floor and leave you wanting more. That's the score...Spawned originally from Luehring's desire to "bring back" Acid Jazz, the idea of having a DJ like Cyclyst in a band made up of such accomplished musicians really stoked the fire under this project and made it a reality! Deeply rooted through communication, the improvisational element of this type of outfit really ads to the excitement of the show all the while making the listener feel that, they themselves are playing a part in the music being produced on stage...

"Luckily, I was able to bring this amazing group of guys together to start a rare project like this one..." says Luehring. "All I can say is, I'm lucky!"
So, get ready To groove... Get ready to groove HARD!
