Enjoy vibrant, original contemporary jazz with a Brazilian and Latin feel. Novo Tempo-"new times" in Portuguese-came together in 2002 after Ed Johnson recorded and released "Over That Wave," an album of original songs with a strong Brazilian and Latin undercurrent. The group, with two more albums to its name, features Ed Johnson on lead vocals and guitar; Kristen Strom on sax, flute and vocals; John Worley on trumpet and flugelhorn; Scott Sorkin on lead guitar and vocals; Dan Robbins on bass; and Jason Lewis on drums.Part of our Music at Noon Performances and sponsored in part by the Leo Gabow Memorial Fund.
