Description
Jodi Throckmorton, associate curator, will give a gallery talk in the exhibition This Kind of Bird Flies Backward: Paintings by Joan Brown on Thursday, January 19, at 6:30 PM. The Museum is open until 8pm that evening with discounted admission. Admission after 5pm is $5.This Kind of Bird Flies Backward comprises some 45 big, bold, and bright paintings by Brown, in which the late artist revealed her personal journey through family life, romantic entanglements, spiritual growth, and dramatic artistic change. The exhibition is on view through March 11, 2012.
The Museum and Café Too! are also open until 8pm on January 19.
