The sixth member in Shmaltz Brewing's Limited Engagement Barrel-Aged series, Funky JewbelationŽ features a blend of six Shmaltz beers aged in bourbon and rye whiskey barrels, and dances in at 9.8% alc. Funky JewbelationŽ is an expert mashup of Jewbelation 15Ž (aged three months), Vintage JewbelationŽ (aged nine months), Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A.Ž (aged one month), Origin Pomegranate Strong AleŽ (aged 14 months), Reunion Ale '11Ž (aged seven months), and Messiah Nut Brown AleŽ (aged 14 months). Funky JewbelationŽ will be nationally available in 22 oz. bottles and a limited amount of draft at select bars from March - June 2012.For everyone in the Bay Area and NYC, Shmaltz will host several launch parties celebrating the release of Funky JewbelationŽ:
*(Oakland, CA) Wednesday, March 28, 2012 @ Beer Revolution (464 3rd Street, Oakland, CA, 6 pm, http://beer-revolution.com ): Shmaltz will premiere Funky JewbelationŽ along with other select beers including Genesis Dry Hopped Session AleŽ, Hop MannaŽ, and Coney Island Human BlockheadŽ.
*(San Francisco, CA) Sunday, April 1, 2012 @ Southern Pacific Brewing (620 Treat Avenue, SF, CA, 2 pm - 6 pm, no cover, cash bar, all ages, 21+ to drink, http://www.southernpacificbrewing.com ): Shmaltz will bring the funk to the newly opened Southern Pacific Brewing in the Mission District. Funky JewbelationŽ and other select Shmaltz beers will be available for purchase. Music will be provided by Action Finger.
*(NYC) Sunday, April 1, 2012 @ Taproom 307 (307 3rd Avenue, NYC, 12 pm - 3 pm, http://www.taproom307.com ): Shmaltz will host a Funky Brunch at Taproom 307. Funky JewbelationŽ and other select Shmaltz beers will be available for purchase. Shmaltz Art Director Matt Polacheck will throwdown his "Funky Playlist" at the event.
