CineGoGo will co-host a dynamic indoor/outdoor film experience showcasing the newest possibilities in filmmaking, distribution and audience participation. The event, part of the traveling “From Here To Awesome” festival, will be held at 8 PM on MINT PLAZA and MEZZANINE at Jessie and Mint Streets in San Francisco.

Film fans can get complimentary passes to the Friday night August 15 screening event by visiting http://www.cinegogo.com/fhta. Twelve films, both features and shorts, are in the running for the festival lineup. Fans may preview and vote their preferences at a special MySpace page [http://myspace.com/fromheretoawesome.] At the actual event, final voting will happen by mobile phone and SMS to determine the final three films to be shown. After the screenings several filmmakers will be available via webcast to answer audience questions submitted via mobile device and text messaging.

Founder Kal Deutsch, started CineGoGo (www.cinegogo.com) as a “community-powered cinema” social network, to bring together filmmakers, film fans, and backyard home theater enthusiasts. “We enable new possibilities in the cinema experience,” says Deutsch. “CineGoGo is the place to announce screenings, administer ticketing, post reviews, and interact directly with each other.”

CineGoGo leverages digital distribution and portable, theatrical quality projection equipment to migrate the cinema experience to literally any gathering place. Screenings of films can now happen in gyms, parks, universities, restaurants, bars, and even parking lot drive-ins. Freed from the constraints of expensive 35mm projection equipment, CineGoGo makes it possible to give high quality, low-cost screenings—offering new revenue possibilities for film producers and venues.
