Come on down to the Crepe Place as they host a triple bill featuring Churches, Battlehooch and B. Hamilton. Churches is the new recording project of Caleb Nichols, exploring a variety of musical elements and resulting in melancholic, fuzzed-out power-pop with influences from Smashing Pumpkins and Dinosaur Jr. Battlehooch describes its sound as "shape-shifting orchestral rock", owing to the group's unique pop sensibility and avant garde experimentation. And, rounding out the concert is the Oakland-based group B. Hamilton, who sticks to a straightforward rock and roll sound without the gimmicks.
