Description
San Jose Museum of Art has started hosting special after-hour events on the Third Thursday of each month. This edition is known as ArtRage. This show will feature Los Hotboxers with special activites inspired by the current exhibition, Mexicanisimo through Artists’ Eyes.Los Hotboxers are a Latin trio band from San Jose. They are described as a blend of flamenco and jazz styles incorporated with elements of surf, rock, and reggae.
The exhibition, Mexicanisimo through Artists’ Eyes, showcases a variety of mixed media that portrays the Latin American life through the years. Piece examples are a woven blanket with all the different types of currency, a timeline of social hierarchys of different professions, a collection of rear view mirrors, and more that symbolizes meanings unique to each of the contributing artists.
