The Museum of Art and History is thrilled to host 3rd Friday August: Experience Metal Performances. This event is a special preview night of stellar metal performances that serves as a prelude to the Experience Metal weekend. Kirk McNeil from Freedom Forge will be on hand to demonstrate the art of black smithing at the Museum's Front Street entrance, and Pierre Riche will present "Metaface as Gaia", a live multi-arts-discipline theatre experience from 8pm-9pm. Also, there will be live music provided by technical metal band, G.U.M., as they perform in Abbott Square from 6:30pm-8pm.
