The Bay Area has had its fair share of unique festivals. Everything from delicious food and cultural festivals to the popular electronic Sriracha event. New however is a celebration of otherworldly proportions.

Alien Con takes over the Santa Clara Convention Center Oct. 28-30, just in time for Halloween. The very first convention of its kind, fans will be treated to scientific and pop culture alien goodies. Events for the convention not only include artist panels and autographs, but also allow for mix and mingling with celebrities, a costume party dedicated to the late Forrest J. Ackerman, demonstrations on the newest video game tech and exhibits on alien exploration. Fan’s of  HISTORY’s Ancient Aliens and Cosmic-Con, which is the event division of Famous Monsters of Filmland, the world’s longest running entertainment fan magazine established in 1958, will be pleased to see a convention bringing to life the cult classics while honoring the instrumental Ackerman.

Guest scheduled to appear include: Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, producer of Legendary Times Magazine, the world’s only Ancient Astronaut research journal; actress Angela Cartwright; actor Edward James Olmos, of BattleStar Galactica; and many more authors, artist and entertainers.
