Hot San Jose Nights returns July 12 with hundreds of new and classic cars, live music and activities.

Event coordinator Mike Hennessy believes a car show should be more than just cars. “A car show should have activities rather than people going to the show early, grabbing a chair, having a drink and being done by noon,” Hennessy said. “There’s just nothing to do at most car shows, that’s why we have vendors who provide plenty of activities, so no one gets bored and everyone can have a good time.”

Some of the activities planned for the event include hangar tours, a stage with live music from bands such as Lyin’ I’s, an Eagles tribute band, and an award ceremony to honor people in the community who donate to charities. Food trucks will be on-site.

Hennessy wants the community to share his passion for charity. “At the end of the day, if you see what these charities are doing and how Reid-Hillview airport allowed us to use their space, you’ll see San Jose can create something that’s classy and free,” Hennessy said. “When a person comes to the show, I want them to leave knowing that we’re a community that cares.”

Hot San Jose Nights takes place July 12 from 9am-4pm at Reid-Hillview Airport. Admission is free.
