Montalvo Arts Center announced its Fall and Winter Concert Series with a lineup of diverse musical artists, from classical to folk to jazz, and more. All concerts will be held at the Carriage House Theatre. A few of highlights from the year’s fall/winter concert series:

Acoustic Alchemy

Acoustic Alchemy will bringing its unique blend of smooth jazz and contemporary instrumental music to the stage this October. With many critically acclaimed albums to their credit, Acoustic Alchemy has experimented with various musical genres and styles for two decades.

South Bay Blues Blast featuring Chris Cain, J.C. Smith Band with Maxx Cabello, Jr.
Saturday, November 12, 2011 @ 8 p.m.
A trio of some of the Bay Area’s hottest blues artists will share the stage for one night only. Local favorite Chris Cain has made a name for himself with 10 solo albums and appearances at many Bay Area Jazz and Blues Festivals. J.C. Smith and Co. have established themselves as a major concert draw for local festivals, and have been selected as winners of the 2006 Bay Area Blues Society West Coast Blues Band of the Year award. Maxx Cabello, Jr. is a veteran of the local blues scene and has opened for major acts such as Earth, Wind, and Fire, John Lee Hooker, and Gary Hoey, among others.

Richard Thompson

December 2-4, 2011
Grammy award-nominated guitarist and songwriter, Richard Thompson will have three dates at the Montalvo Arts Center. He his well recognized for his guitar skills among folk and rock aficionados alike.

Maceo Parker

Funk master and virtuoso saxophonist Maceo Parker will bring his super funky sounds to Montalvo Arts Center in January. After playing with James Brown and Bootsy Collins’ Rubber Band, Maceo Parker branched out into a successful solo career. His band is one of the best in the business
