A seventeen-year-old boy walked into the Valley Medical Center on Friday night, saying that he thought he had been shot with a pellet gun. Doctors determined that it was not a pellet gun but a small caliber handgun that caused the boy’s injury.

The boy explained that he got into an argument with a group of men in their 20s at the Stonegate Skatepark on Gassman Avenue. According to his account, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot him at close range. Police are now investigating the incident.
