Ten former San Jose Giants, including Rookie of the Year candidate Buster Posey and Game 1 starter Tim Lincecum, will be playing for the San Francisco Giants in the World Series that kicks off tonight.

Posey and scheduled Game 4 starter Madison Bumgarner are the most recent San Jose graduates, playing together in the South Bay in 2009.

The entire San Francisco postseason starting rotation played in San Jose. Scheduled Game 2 starter Matt Cain pitched there in 2004, Jonathan Sanchez in 2005, Lincecum in 2006 and Bumgarner last year.

The most celebrated San Jose Giant in recent history was Pablo Sandoval. In 2008, he hit .359 for San Jose with 39 extra-base hits in 68 games before moving up to Class-AA Connecticut.

Fear the Beard relief pitchers Brian Wilson and Sergio Romo were members of the San Jose Giants in 2007. Romo was the closer when they won the California League Championship that year.

Rounding out the former San Jose Giants are Nate Schierholtz (2005) and Travis Ishikawa (2005 and 2007).
