International QueerTango Festival San Francisco's Opening Performance TangoLand, directed by Daniel Peters.

An original dance production with live music by Trio Garufa, http://www.triogarufa.com.
Featuring: Tango Con*Fusion, OtroTango, Vima Vice Squad, Festival Teachers & Special Guests!

Funded in part by Project Tango.

5-6pm: Special Presentation of Tango Music Essentials & why it is so important to your dancing! with Mila Salazar

Mila Salazar is a dancer, teacher and Tango DJ in the San Francisco Bay Area tango community. She DJ’s Traditional as well as Alternative tango music, and has fallen deeply in love with the history and development of the dance and music. She has performed in the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, The Latin Show, and Noe Valley Ministry as well as having been a dance captain of the Libertango Dancers, danced as a guest member of Tango ConFusion and performed with her own group TangoFlor. Currently she is Co-Director of the La Pista Tango Studio and expanding programming there as it is developing into the only tango school of its kind outside of Argentina.

This show is not included in the package price, but we will take your reservation if you plan to attend the show. Please pay the restaurant that evening.

Price is $19.95 - Tapas and show.
$39.95 - Entre and wine, sangria or beer ($1 more for cocktails) and show.

David and Mariana are beautiful dancers and wonderful instructors. They teach tango all over the Bay Area, and have conducted both an all-men's and an all-women's tango class this year.
