Armed with self-effacing humor, Anne Lamott writes about such weighty topics as alcoholism, motherhood, and religion. She is the author of seven novels including Hard Laughter, Rosie, Imperfect Birds, and her latest book, Some Assembly Required: A Journal of My Son's First Son.
