Hailing from Oakland CA, the brainchild of Morty Okin (former co-founder/trumpet of MJ tribute Foreverland) and Roger Rocha (Lead guitar of 4 Non Blondes, The Goldenhearts), The Purple Ones was formed in April 2012 to pay homage to the incredible songwriting, musicianship and over the top performances of The Purple One himself, Prince.
