Description
On July 9th, Bay Area performing artists will be encouraging you to "Take Back Your Forest". The second event in a series, this time with performances by Corinne Fimbrez, Amy Obenski, and Louis Jackson will be held at Theatre on San Pedro Square in San Jose at 8pm. All of the money raised will be donated to the Sempervirens Fund, a non-profit organization that purchases redwood forest in the Santa Cruz Mountains.This isn't just a benefit concert. Take Back Your Forest is a movement to create a connection between our community and our environment. The first event in 2007 raised $5,000 for the Sempervirens Fund. And we intend to do it again. All expenses are covered by in kind donations from local companies and all performances 100% donated by local performers. Sponsors include San Jose Jazz and Big Fish Small Pond.
