++Rupa & the April Fishes signed to Cumbancha---worldwide release of their debut eXtraOrdinary rendition April 2008--CD release at GAMH++SF-based global fusion band Rupa & the April Fishes will be organizing another full night of music in celebration their CD's international release at the Great American Music Hall featuring some of San Francisco's most creative musical talents, bands that blend time and place to create rich sonic journeys.
Rupa & the April Fishes have most recently sold out their debut NYC performance at an APAP showcase, with featured picks in the New Yorker, the Village Voice and the New York Post. They have headlined and sold out the Great American Music Hall and the Independent in San Francisco. They will be appearing in this year's SXSW festival and have recently won CMJ's spotlight artist contest. The band's unique sound and vibe have been charming audiences since they came together in January 2006.
