Description
Since her musical debut in 1996, Madeleine Peyroux (pronounce Pay-roo) has been compared to a modern-day Billie Holiday. The French-American singer is known for her own brand of jazz, incorporating elements of folks, blues and country into her music. On her fourth and latest album, Bare Bones, Peyroux firmly branded herself as a singer/songwriter by co-writing each of her 11 songs. The result is a mix of classic and modern jazz songs that speak of Peyroux’s personal endeavors.
