"Legendary Latin jazz band leader and pianist Eddie Palmieri and the renowned Brian Lynch Jazz Quartet will bring their infectious rhythms to the stage of the Montalvo Carriage House Theatre this month as part of Montalvo's Piano Masters performance series. Tickets for the show, taking place on Sunday, February 12 at 7:30 pm, are on sale now." Montalvoarts.orgLynch and Palmieri have developed a close relationship through creative and personal expression over the past twenty years. They met in 1987, when Lynch joined Palmieri's jazz orchestra as a trumpet player. As the years passed, Lynch began to collaborate with Palmieri in arrangement and also as co-composer, and musical director. In 2006, the they released a joint album, "Simpático", which ended up winning the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album. Their synchronistic relationship continues even up to today: each year, they tour extensively in Japan and the United States as the Eddie Palmieri/Brian Lynch Jazz Quartet.
