Description
Autumn at Montalvo provides an abundance of subject matter for this drawing class focusing on California's ancient oaks and the wildlife and plants that interact with them. Oak trunks, branches, bark, leaves, buds, acorns and galls provide interesting details, while the trees and woodlands offer an exciting light and shadow landscape. Join artist Edward Rooks in exploring our natural world through pen and ink, with an introduction to scratchboard techniques. Students will conclude the class with a detailed pen and ink or scratchboard drawing.
