Flashlight tours will be held nightly through the Winchester Mystery House for Fright Night.
San Jose’s Winchester Mystery House is resurrecting its ‘Fright Night’ back from the undead after a successful debut last year.
The Winchester Mystery House, named the second most haunted place by the Travel Channel, will transform into a nightmare come true Sept. 28 through November 3. During Fright Night, a spooky butler will sound the same bell tower that Sarah Winchester used during her seances and lead a walk through a real pet cemetery. Visitors will try their luck in corn maze where Winchester’s pets Baron and Spirit are buried.
The flashlight tour is led only by moonlight and a souvenir flashlight through the house where Sarah Winchester’s obsession with the number 13 and the curse that consumed her husband is on display.
“We are stepping up the 40-minute maze by adding over 100 spine-chilling characters and surprises around every corner,” said Brett Tomberlin, President of Imagination Design, the company producing Fright Night. “The Mansion ‘Flashlight Tour is also ramped up in a way that will shock and awe visitors.”
The Fright Night event starts at 6:30pm continues until 11pm or midnight, depending on the evening. The full schedule can be found on the Winchester Mystery House’s website.
With purchase of entry, attendees will have access to the Curse of Sarah Winchester Maze and the Flashlight tour. There will be a limited amount of VIP tickets sold that allow front of line access. The entire experience will last about 75 minutes.
Tickets start at $35 and VIP tickets are $50.
