A San Jose man was shot to death late Wednesday night, and police are searching for suspects in the city’s 20th homicide of the year.

A Hispanic man in his 20s was found suffering from gunshot wounds at Checkers and Schulte drives shortly before 11 p.m. when police responded to reports of shots fired, according to police.

The man was found lying near a white 2000 Volkswagen Jetta that police believe belonged to the victim.

The victim was taken to Regional Medical Center where he died at around 11:20 p.m.

No suspects have been identified in this incident.
