St. Patrick’s Day at O’Flaherty’s, Thursday, Mar. 17
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day the way it was meant to be celebrated-at an Irish pub. At O’Flaherty’s Irish Pub the party seems to get bigger every year. The up-to-the-second countdown to the day says it all. There will be live entertainment, an open patio, Irish food and enough Guinness to get you well on your way to the other end of the rainbow. The festivities will start at 2pm and go until 2am, which means a potential 12 hour Guinness drinking spree. Eirinn go Brach!

Corned Beef and Cabbage, Thursday, Mar. 17
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style at the divey, but super fun Mardi Gras Lounge. Play some pool, enjoy some banter with the bartenders, drink some Guinness and eat corned beef and cabbage. Perhaps you will stumble upon your very own Leprechaun.

Wine Pairing Dinner at Dio Deka, Friday, Mar. 18
It is not every day one gets to sample a gourmet Greek dinner paired with Greek wine, but in this diverse place we call the South Bay, anything is possible including a Michelin-starred Greek restaurant called Dio Deka. On Friday, March 18, Executive Chef Marty Catteneowill will host a five-course Hellenic-inspired wine pairing dinner. Guest winemakers from Greece, Apostolos Thimiopoulos and Petros Markantonatos, will share wines from Gentilini Vineyards of Cephalonia Island, Thimiopoulos Winery of Naoussa, and Vin Daoux of Samos Island. In addition, those in attendance will have their chance at the spotlight as the event will be filmed and aired on “Red Carpet,” a television show on KRON4 on April 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Margo True at Kepler’s Books, Wednesday, Mar. 23
Meet Sunset magazine’s James Beard award winning food editor Margo True at Kepler’s Books. She will talk about “The One-Block Feast,” her book that tells the story of how True and her team took an inspired idea and transformed it into an ambitious commitment: to create four feasts over the course of a year, using only what could be grown or raised in their backyard-sized plot. She candidly shares the group’s many successes and often humorous setbacks as they try their hands at chicken farming, cheese making, olive pressing, home brewing, bee keeping, winemaking, and more.
