Please join us as we introduce Portugese artist Miguel Palma. Palma creates large-scale installations out of industrial and used objects that often take the form of intricate, self-sustaining systems. Since 1989, Palma’s projects have explored matters related with the world’s hurried technological development, proposing alternative (and ironic) paths to this hunger of new.

Selected previous venues include the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Berardo Museum, Culturgest, National Museum of Contemporary Art – Lisbon; Serralves Museum – Oporto; Bloomberg Space – London; Prospect.1 – New Orleans Art Biennial; Location One, ISE Foundation – New York; Faulconer Gallery – Iowa; MUDAM – Luxemburg; Museu Pateo Herreriano, Laboral, Centro 2 de Mayo – Spain; Villa Arson and FRAC Limousin – France. Palma has been a resident artist at Location One-NY, ISCP-NY and the Headlands Center for the Arts in California.
