The San Francisco Bay Guardian presents YSL-A-GO-GO!
The Guardian is staging a far-out dance extravaganza to celebrate the iconic French style of Yves Saint Laurent, featuring the wild sounds and sights of Bardot A Go Go! Bardot A Go Go is the world's longest-running Francophilic swinging sixties dance party and pop art experience! From French pop to ye-ye, mod, soul, frat rock, and sexy soundtracks, Bardot A Go Go plays it all, and plays it in French! Pop art decor and rare videos complete the scene, with a special appearance by the Girls of Go Go Mania doing all your fave rave ‘60s dances (www.bardotagogo.com, http://www.sfbg.com/deyoung)

Film: Basquiat (1996). Basquiat tells the story of the meteoric rise of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The young street artist living in New York’s Tompkins Square Park is “discovered” by Andy Warhol’s art world and becomes a star. But Basquiat’s life at the top is short-lived.
