Returning for the third time to the Kohl series, now with new first violinist, Naumburg-winner Frank Huang, the Ying Quartet has reached unique prominence in the classical music world, combining brilliantly communicative performances with a fearlessly imaginative view of chamber music in today's context. Now in its second decade, the Quartet has toured across the US and abroad, including many of the world's most important venues from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House. Committed to sharing music in everyday life the Ying Quartet also performs in settings as diverse as the workplace, schools and juvenile prisons.There will be a pre-concert talk at 6pm with Kai Christiansen.
