GuyWriters will hold a fundraiser featuring the best of the worst celebrity autobiographies and memoirs. The non-profit organization will welcome a variety of gay performers to read the tell-all books that are so bad you have to laugh.Featured readers include Heklina, Joshua Grannell aka Peaches Christ, James Brian Judd, Donna Sachet, Scott James, Lewis DeSimone, Jim Provenzano, Donald Currie and Oscar Raymundo. Hosts for the night are James J. Siegel and Baruch Porras-Hernandez.
GuyWriters (www.guywritersonline.org) is a community network for gay writers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our purpose is to celebrate and support literary creativity in the gay male community. GuyWriters provides opportunities for members to develop new writing, access publishing resources, and meet other people in the literary world. GuyWriters is a member of the Intersection Incubator, the fiscal sponsorship program of the Intersection for the Arts (www.theintersection.org). The Intersection is San Francisco's oldest alternative arts space, presenting groundbreaking works in the literary, performing, visual and interdisciplinary arts.
