San Francisco, December 5, 2012 – Yarek Godfrey – Direct from Paris, France, neoclassical romanticist painter Yarek Godfrey is exhibiting a new oil on canvas series at the Historic Cadillac Building. Godfrey’s expression of the human form is the result of his profound love of beauty and keen observation of the human spirit. The dramatic narratives of his subjects reveal themselves through a subtle monochromatic pallet. In totality, Godfrey’s willful artistry arrives in its ability to blend past and present into one, creating a timeless subject.
Born in Poland, Godfrey is a French citizen, and since the 1980s has worked out of his studio in Paris. Internationally well received, he has a celebrated realm of exhibitions in Krakow, Paris, Strasbourg, Monaco, d’Angers, Cannes, Montreal, Hanover Germany, New York, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Godfrey's one-month exhibition, originally ending on December 12, has been extended until December 31, 2012. Never will you see a better marriage of paintings and space as Godfrey’s work at 1000 Van Ness. Suspended canvas will hang side by side in dialogue through time and space. Solo masterpieces will hang from walls, gazing upon paired paintings of stone and flesh. Godfrey will be in attendance for his exhibition only until December 12, 2012.
