Description
Video projection, sculpture, installation works and photography examine contemporary perceptions of the American war in Vietnam, offering international and personal perspectives. Probing the role of media in the collective memory of that involvement, the exhibition establishes a forum for the consideration of the ongoing legacy of the war—both in Vietnam and the United States. This moving exhibition joins a roster of celebrated artists, including Thai Bui, Binh Danh, Harrell Fletcher, Joyce Kozloff, An-My Lę, Dinh Q. Lę, Daniel Joseph Martinez, and Martha Rosler. This exhibit is collaboratively organized by San Francisco State University faculty and staff, with Moira Roth, Trefethen Chair of Art History at Mills College.Free Admission
