Description

Bay Area artists provide a contemporary perspective on Jewish identity. Drawing on their own experiences, they explore traditional and non-traditional Jewish attitudes towards masks.

The exhibition is curated by Elayne Grossbard, Judaica curator at the Judah L. Magnes Museum in Berkeley from 2004 to 2009. Her involvement in the Bay Area Jewish art community allows her to integrate her professional experience with her academic background in art history and Jewish studies.
