It's not often that you hear a growling-cookie-monster, death metal vocalist and a super-slick pop-punk vocalist side by side in one band. But there's a lot about We Are Promise that you don't often hear. It's not just that they mash together such diverging elements as hardcore, pop-punk, electro'd-up death metal, screaming and sweet harmonies, it's that they do it without sounding hyper-chaotic. They transition from each section with such ease, like weaving in some synth sounds or metal-vocal-grunts is the most natural thing in the world to do.
