A member of the Bay Area Latin All-Stars, Wayne Wallace is a talented trombonist and an innovative arranger. As one of the most interesting players on the NorCal jazz scene, he’s become a favorite of Pete Escovedo—which, as far as endorsements for Latin jazzmen, is about as good as it gets. This year has been a whirlwind for Wallace—besides the release of his new record with the quintet, Bien Bien, he’s pulled a jazz festival hat trick, performing at the San Jose, Monterey and Stanford events.
