All profits go to 826 Valencia to support youth writing!2 years ago, wait what released a record, made a Facebook page, and sent it to a couple friends. Two weeks later, the notorious xx had one million downloads, and he's played shows in Toronto for Fashion Week, at clubs in Rwanda and Thailand, and at Giants Stadium at a festival with Lil Wayne. It's been six months since he's played a hometown show in SF, but Friday, June 8, that changes.
He'll be headlining a Friday night show in the main room at Public Works to celebrate the release of a new mixtape, tingo. The venue is an awesome space with enough room to move, a good bar, and great sound, located right in the Mission, the unofficial capital in SF of hipster tunes and hip hop classics. This will be the biggest show in SF yet, and the last one for awhile so come enjoy some great music and awesome drink specials on Friday, June 8.
We want to get a live crowd, so tickets are cheap: pre-sale tickets for $8. Limited quantities, and once pre-sale is over, tickets go up to $10. We're anticipating that this will sell out, so get your tickets now -- if available, tickets will be $12 at the door. Bring friends, support a great cause, and let's set things off at Public Works -- it's going to be a awesome!
