Nick Flatt
Nick grew up in Texas, and recently finished art school in San Francisco. He is a realist painter and sculptor and carves a niche in the world of Fine Art with his hyper-realistic large-format creations.
"For Voodoo Chop I wanted to take a compositionally minimal approach to photo-realism. I removed the sky, and darkened the ocean, to create a tension in the painting that reflects both the beauty and the danger of the sea. By referencing photography, and removing color, I’m attempting to capture the vagueness of memory, rather than describing a particular moment..."

Trent Mitchell
Using light, color, form and motion, Trent aims to produce contemporary photographs that celebrate the natural phenomenon of the breaking wave. The complexity of this cyclic phenomenon creates an infinite number of diverse photographic subjects and challenges. Trent's passion lies both in the endless nature of these challenges and in the romantic moods of the sea. Trent strives to reflect this is in his work, giving new life to my subject matter.
Based in Australia, Trent Mitchell is an international award winning photographic Artist. Dancing the line between art and life, Trent creates surreal images that speak the truth with a rare, unexplainable connection. He has an innate ability to truly capture the essence of his subject with an undeniably unique twist.

Christopher Jernberg
Jernberg’s work is navigation. He is a navigator. Throughout his life he has pursued a vast and wide experience and analysis of how things work and his art not only reflects existence but is an active tool in how to effectively process it.
Christopher Jernberg was born in Sweden in 1971. He moved to San Francisco when he was 20 and graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 1996 with a Bachelor’s in Fine Art. During a period of 13 years, he taught drawing, painting, sculpture, anatomy and fashion illustration at the same university. For the last year and half, Jernberg has been the director of Gallery 454: an experimental art space and cultural force in North Beach, San Francisco.
"When it comes to the Voodoo Chop show I don’t think so much of the fantasy of a wave but what it is like to actually be out there in the ocean. I did a lot of water training and was made incredibly humbled and in awe of the ocean, it shaped my body to be like a superman, detoxified and energized my whole being and it made me realize how vulnerable we are out there, how insignificant and out of our normal control on land."

Llewellyn Ludlow
Llewellyn Ludlow was two years old when, escaping the notice of his parents, he fell head-first into a tidepool at Stinson Beach. Eyes wide open, he inspected what he could see. He didn't inhale. When his frightened parents pulled him out, he didn't gag or cry. The look in his eye prompted Lynn, his father, to say, "Neptune has claimed him and lent him back to us."
Based on the beautiful Marin county coast, Llewellyn's objective is to bring awareness of the earth’s beauty through unique perspectives, color combinations, and a truly direct connection with our planet and to explore the vast world of imagination, sight and sound and to give something back to a planet that has given so much.
"Art to me is as important as life; life breathes art. Often caught up in our daily lives, we sometimes forget how much beauty and design the earth holds."

Aleksandra Zee
Aleksandra Zee creates three-dimensional objects from found and re-purposed materials and situates them in site specific installations. Ranging in scale from small interventions to whole room distortions, she strives to transform the viewer's perception of the space. Zee is interested in the transcendence of the harsh, broken, or discarded materials into objects of soft whimsy. In much the same way, Zee wants the viewer to pause and lose themselves in the altered environment.
Originally from Los Angeles, Zee is constantly inspired by her peers and life in San Francisco. She has exhibited at HangArt Gallery, Gallery Hijinks, Space Gallery, and fabric8 in San Francisco.

Todd Glaser
Todd wanders the world with his camera one step at a time and his travels take him to many remote locations from Australia to Tahiti, Europe to Mexico. Based in his hometown of San Diego, California, Todd works as a staff photographer for Surfer Magazine and is trusted to capture some of the biggest names in the surf world as well as being on call to experience the world's famous waves. Featured in the 2010 release, "Surfer Magazine: Fifty Years" Todd Glaser also was a 2008 Follow The Light Foundation grant winner and a 2009 Surfer Magazine Photo of the Year award winner amongst numerous other awards.

David Orias
David's photography is about the moment. He looks for small windows of time or circumstance, whether it is the moment when the sun peaks over a mountain to illuminate a wave or landscape, or if its smoke in the air that filters the sunlight and create colors that seem unworldly. David's photography utilizes the ability of the camera to collect light information over a longer period of time than our eyes and brain and so colors that look dark or gray to our brains at the moment explode with color and texture when seen by the camera. His photographic success is the result of a lifetime of trial-and-error and self-taught technique.
Born in Santa Barbara in 1962 David has done several photography shows in the Santa Barbara area and has sold prints in a gallery in Marina del Rey, California. David's photography has won numerous local awards and has been published in several magazines including Surfer Magazine.
