Description
Tierra marks its 40th anniversary with some of its biggest his, such as "Barrio Suite" and "Margarita." This benefit show for autism awareness also features Richard Bean and Sapo (of "Sauvecito" fame) and Ruckatan with Puro Bandido-as well as a roster of guest stars. The show raises money to benefit the Alex Speaks Foundation, which supports autism programs at area schools.ABOUT THE ARTISTS
TIERRA
Celebrating their 40th anniversary, TIERRA's invigorating blend of R & B, Latin and Pop was the precursor to many Hispanic artists. TIERRA, named "Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Group" by Billboard Cashbox, Record World, and BRE (Black Radio Exclusive), as the first Hispanic act to have four songs on the national pop charts, and two songs simultaneously in the top 100. Leader of the band, Rudy Salas holds the foundation of the group strong as he leads TIERRA into the new millenium. With their new CD, On the Right Track, this is one band that will not stop!

RICHARD BEAN & SAPO
In the annals of Bay Area music, Malo's "Suavecito" will no doubt go down as the ultimate Latino love song. The San Francisco Latin rock group's 1972 hit featured the voice of Richard Bean, who is still going strong with Sapo, now celebrating 40 years of performing this tune with the band he formed after leaving Malo. Richard Bean has been instrumental in upping the funk quotient in the then novel sound.

RUCKATAN
Ruckatan Latin Tribe's music is a fusion of Latin, Reggae and World Music. The seven members of the band all have contributed to the Latin rock scene in the San Francisco Bay Area and internationally with various Latin, reggae and rock acts.

PURO BANDIDO
Puro Bandido was instrumental in the development of Border Rock- crossing all borders; having no boundaries. Their sound is a combination of old school and new sounds created by a combination of driving percussion, an incomparable rhythm section and vocals to match.
