Description

Quo Vadis Theatre Company presents “Viva Cristo Rey,” at Historic Hoover Theatre in San Jose. Co-written by Cathal Gallagher & Fred Martinez; directed by Denis Marks. Performances October 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 at 8pm; October 7 & 14 at 2pm.
“Viva Cristo Rey” is the true story of Father Miguel Pro, who used his theatrical talents as an undercover priest in 1920s Mexico, when all religions were banned and persecuted. He often disguised himself as a mechanic, reporter or policeman to continue ministering to those in need. A recent Los Angeles production of “Viva Cristo Rey” played to sold-out audiences.
