Description
Have you ever wondered what San Jose would be like without all these cars? Well, you won't get your answer today, but this weekend’s Viva Calle event will provide a glimpse of what the world could be like if we all ditched our whips for pedal-power. With the aim of spurring community engagement and encouraging cycling, walking and other non-motorized modes of transportation, the event will see many of downtown San Jose's busiest thoroughfares closed to autos for a few hours. The path will take walkers and bikers through Japantown, up Alum Rock Avenue and down White Road, where it will lead into Lake Cunningham Park.
