The Arts Division, Film and Digital Media, and History of Art and Visual Culture departments at UC Santa Cruz are thrilled to welcome Allyson Nadia Field for their Visual and Media Cultures Colloquium. Allyson Nadia Field is an Assistant Professor of Cinema and Media Studies at UCLA's Department of Film, Television and Digital Media, as well as a faculty affiliate of the Moving Image Archive Studies program and the Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies at UCLA. Her research focuses on race and ethnicity in American film, and her work includes participation in UCLA's recent preservation of the films of the "L.A. Rebellion" and co-curating a major film exhibition of this work with the UCLA Film & Television Archive. Free and open to public.
