There’s a certain sense of satisfaction listening to a group with a hard edge and sweet voice. Girls can rock, and I’ll be the first to defend them. Visqueen has been doing this for almost 10 years and still sounds just as good. With a rock/pop punk sound and Rachel Flotard at the helm, they belt out tunes that will blow away the unsuspecting hipster. Their sound is reminiscent of now defunct Fat Wreck Chords band Tilt, if lead singer Cinder Block decided to form a rock band. For all you single people out there, I know February was a tough month.
