Description
"Video Killed the Radio Star" by British synthpop group The Buggles, celebrates the golden days of radio, describing a singer whose career is cut short by television. It was the first music video shown on MTV in North America and is the theme of this interactive nightclub event. Interactive in that not-only will the DJ be dropping the perfect mix of dance-friendly pop, hip hop, rock and mash-up beats, but will also be mixing the music videos on huge screens that coincide with the tracks on the fly.
Video mixing has been around the production world for many years at events like concerts and music festivals, usually in conjunction with other performance art. Just recently, has this art come in to play in the nightclub environment. As technology evolved, it's become more feasible for touring club DJs to incorporate video mixing into their performances. Hence our new monthly event featuring the medium.
This monthly party returns to San francisco next Friday, April 2nd featuring a video set by San Francisco standout DJ Don Lynch at ROE Nightclub.
Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the buy one bottle and 1/2 off the second bottle special.
