Come meet genre-busting artist Marilyn Yu Thursday, October 1st 7:00 pm, as she puts the personal back into story-telling. The Raven Queen (Yu's darker aspect) will be reading "Relations That Suck" and discussing topics ranging from visual story-telling to post-modern love to art and activism in the 21st century.The award-winning, San Francisco-based fashion designer Marilyn Yu is touring the country with her new book, “Relations that Suck: The Story of Eva and Dries.” The luscious photographs and dazzling dresses of this tragic tale have caught the eye of vampire and fashion fans world-wide and now you will be able to meet the creator in person. This fable about the friendship and destiny of two timeless characters is portrayed through dramatic photographs. Eva is a creative vampire who likes people. Dries is a traveling spider who disdains web-spinning. Come hear their story.
